Space Shuttle Enterprise began its journey today at Weeks Marine, N.J.
The Space Shuttle Enterprise is almost home. The NASA spacecraft completed the last leg of its journey to its home on board the Intrepid — the decommissioned aircraft carrier docked on the Hudson River that serves as New York City’s sea, air and space museum.
As Enterprise floated toward the Intrepid on a barge, Mashable managed to snap a few photos of its trip along the river. It sped past the Statue of Liberty, through New York Harbor, then up past lower Manhattan, where our photographer was waiting.
